BoxMate Terms of Service

By using BoxMate ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these terms.
1. Account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You may use the app as a guest; if you save your account, you become subject to all terms.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Use the app to store or share content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Free tier is limited to 8 boxes. Paid tiers (Pro Subscription / Pro Lifetime) unlock unlimited boxes and other features as described in-app.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Payment is charged to your store account.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The lifetime tier is a one-time purchase; no recurring billing.
- Refund requests are handled by the relevant store (Apple or Google) per their policies.
4. Your Content
- You retain ownership of the inventory data you create.
- You grant us a limited license to store, display, and sync your content for the purpose of providing the service.
- You are responsible for the legality of content you create.
5. Sharing
- When you invite someone to your household, they gain read/write access to all boxes, items, and locations in that household.
- You are responsible for who you invite and what they do with shared access.
- You may remove a household member at any time. Their access ends immediately.
6. Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Profile.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for data loss caused by user error, device failure, or third-party service outages, though we maintain backups for our part of the system.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.
